Fun in the snow

A few weeks ago old man winter finally decided to show everyone who was in charge and dumped about 6 inches of snow on us. That of course lead to clearing off sidewalks, driveways and having fun. Spencer decided to build himself a "snow bed" and have himself covered with a snow blanket. He loved it and was actually quite warm.

Both kids took turns "helping" Dad shovel. They made a HUGE snow mound in front of the mailbox. Then made mountains in the yard and used the dried branches that had fallen off the Christmas tree as flags.














Isn't childhood fun.

After the work comes the fun. Dad pulling the sled in the front yard, and letting it slide clear down the "hill". We had lots of giggles, smiles and family fun.
When it was all said and done, we came in cold and wet. A great time to make hot chocolate and snuggle.
